Well it's about that time of year, and we are all itching to try out our new shreds, and get back to it. Snow-forecast is calling for colder temperatures, and snowy skies are upon us. With that being said we have some new "attractions" to look out for this winter, both in and out of the park.
Lets start from the top. There is a new edition to the trail map - The Expo Glades. Located in between Expo and Centennial. This area was previously inaccessible with only maybe a couple lines passing through it, if you knew where to find them. Now after some brainstorming and careful planing we opened up this area. The result is a new black diamond glades area that is approximately 600 meters and its destined for face shots and tree dodging on a pow day. For a trail map view please click here.
On top of building new metal features for the park this season we wanted to create something new, and something that the North Shore Mountains and BC was lacking. Grouse Woods was inspired by the legendary Burton Stash, we decided to do our own twist on a "Stash Park". Our idea is simple, A Stash park meets a transition park such as Holy Bowly & Happo Banks, both of which look amazingly fun to ride. We've incorporated a hand full of permanent features including a wall ride, pole jam and a log rail. Not to mention about a half dozen movable wood features.
To say the least, this winter is going to be a fun one.
Let it snow.
