This past Friday was the final Jam Over The City rail jam of the season. Spring conditions, combined with the gaper theme made for an outrageous event. Huge thanks to Spy Eyewear for giving out some goodies to the top riders. It was a special event for another reason...there was a guest photographer on site. Steve Shantz and Jake Pratt recently came together on a project they are calling Fader Photos. Give them a follow on Instagram at @faderphotos if you know whats good for you.
Editor's Note: For those of you that don't know Steve, this guy is a top human. He's been a part of the Grouse scene since he started snowboarding, and is always down for a good time, on the hill or off. I've never seen Steve without his signature grin, and he'll give you the best bear hug you'll ever get. If you can imagine a happy bear on spring break permanently, you've got a pretty good picture of Steve. He's the guy that you just know will have retirement on lock when he gets there, cause he already has most of it down. As I've gotten older, I've had people come in and out of my life in this industry, but Steve is the type of guy you can always count on being there, someone who is always appreciative of anything that comes his way. It's people like Steve that make me appreciate what snowboarding has given me. Spring break, forever, my man.
