Hello all you fellow park rats, My name is Simon Stulberg and this season, I have been lucky enough to be chosen as one of the four new blogospondents for grousepark.com. I am a skier, and have been a Grouse Mountain local since I was 2 or 3 years old. I reside just outside of downtown Vancouver and am currently attending my last year of high school at Kitsilano Secondary. Even though I don’t live all that close to Grouse Mountain, you can pretty much bet that I’ll be up on the mountain, shredding hard with my friends 4 to 7 days a week. Over the past couple of years, I have been influenced by the Gangster side of skiing, which has led to an outerwear look of 6xl tall tees, huge jackets, and overly sized baggy pants. So, next time you're on the mountain keep your eyes out for a short 17 year old kid wearing huge clothing and come introduce yourself. I am always psyched to meet and shred with new people who are as passionate about skiing and snowboarding as I am.
Forgetting the past few rainy days, we have been blessed with a bounty of snow which has allowed myself, along with some grouse locals and my fellow blogger Jason Macfarlane to hit a urban rail. Also not forgetting Grouse Mountain's park, which the park crew have been doing an immaculate job of creating and maintaining one of the finest set ups I have ever ridden at Grouse Mountain. I was able to bring up my GoPro a few times and throw together an early season edit starring Colby King, Jonah Boretsky, Jason Macfarlane, myself, Thomas McKay, Patrick Rychter, Matt Hindmarsh, and Trint Thomas.
Get stoked for another epic season.
